A MUST READ; *3 Powerful Tips For Enjoying The NOW*

Does it ever feel like your life is quickly passing you by because you're constantly thinking about the past or worrying about the future?

The truth is, the only moment you have for sure, is ‘THIS’ moment, right now.

To help you step into the NOW today...
I want to share 3 powerful tips for absorbing and enjoying the present moment.
(I encourage you to implement at least 1 of them this week)

Tip 1.
Become aware - If you catch yourself complaining or over analyzing, stop and shift your perspective into the NOW by focusing on your surroundings or whatever it is that you’re doing.

If you’re at a stop light or stuck in traffic, take advantage of this time to connect with what’s happening around you. First start by becoming aware of your breathing pattern and then notice the wind, the sun, people passing by, and the different smells and sounds.

Tip 2.
Focus your attention - If you’re talking to a friend, eating or even working, try not to engage in other activities like talking on the phone or checking your emails.

Instead dedicate your full attention to whatever you're doing in that moment and don’t let your mind wander. Focus your attention into the NOW and be the best you can be in that single moment.

Tip 3.
Forget about the past and future - If you spend your life reliving the past or worrying about the future, you will be missing out on life itself.

So next time you notice your mind wandering off to worry or to engage in anxious thoughts, don’t judge yourself or force your thoughts. Rather acknowledge them, allow them to leave naturally and remind yourself to come back to the present moment.

Time passes by quickly, so make sure you enjoy every single moment and really experience the joy of living.

And don’t forget to practice! Remember that consistency is the only way to form a new habit, so start enjoying the present moment right away :)

To your best life,

Natalie ~ Mind Movies.

Donald J. Trump; Full Victory Speech!!!

US President-elect, Donald Trump

After shocking the world by defeating favourite, Hillary Clinton, the president-elect of the United States, Donald Trump has delivered a remarkable victory speech.

Thank you. Thank you very much, everyone. Sorry to keep you waiting. Complicated business, complicated. Thank you very much.

I’ve just received a call from Secretary Clinton. She congratulated us. It’s about us. On our victory, and I congratulated her and her family on a very, very hard-fought campaign.

I mean, she fought very hard. Hillary has worked very long and very hard over a long period of time, and we owe her a major debt of gratitude for her service to our country.

I mean that very sincerely. Now it is time for America to bind the wounds of division, have to get together. To all Republicans and Democrats and independents across this nation, I say it is time for us to come together as one united people.

It is time. I pledge to every citizen of our land that I will be president for all of Americans, and this is so important to me. For those who have chosen not to support me in the past, of which there were a few people, I’m reaching out to you for your guidance and your help so that we can work together and unify our great country. As I’ve said from the beginning, ours was not a campaign but rather an incredible and great movement, made up of millions of hard-working men and women who love their country and want a better, brighter future for themselves and for their family.

It is a movement comprised of Americans from all races, religions, backgrounds, and beliefs, who want and expect our government to serve the people, and serve the people it will.

Working together, we will begin the urgent task of rebuilding our nation and renewing the American dream. I’ve spent my entire life in business, looking at the untapped potential in projects and in people all over the world.

That is now what I want to do for our country. Tremendous potential. I’ve gotten to know our country so well. Tremendous potential. It is going to be a beautiful thing. Every single American will have the opportunity to realize his or her fullest potential. The forgotten men and women of our country will be forgotten no longer.

We are going to fix our inner cities and rebuild our highways, bridges, tunnels, airports, schools, hospitals. We’re going to rebuild our infrastructure, which will become, by the way, second to none, and we will put millions of our people to work as we rebuild it. We will also finally take care of our great veterans who have been so loyal, and I’ve gotten to know so many over this 18-month journey.

The time I’ve spent with them during this campaign has been among my greatest honors.

Our veterans are incredible people. We will embark upon a project of national growth and renewal. I will harness the creative talents of our people, and we will call upon the best and brightest to leverage their tremendous talent for the benefit of all. It is going to happen. We have a great economic plan. We will double our growth and have the strongest economy anywhere in the world. At the same time, we will get along with all other nations willing to get along with us. We will be. We will have great relationships. We expect to have great, great relationships. No dream is too big, no challenge is too great. Nothing we want for our future is beyond our reach.

America will no longer settle for anything less than the best. We must reclaim our country’s destiny and dream big and bold and daring. We have to do that. We’re going to dream of things for our country, and beautiful things and successful things once again.

I want to tell the world community that while we will always put America’s interests first, we will deal fairly with everyone, with everyone.

All people and all other nations. We will seek common ground, not hostility; partnership, not conflict. And now I would like to take this moment to thank some of the people.

A MUST READ! Financial Breakthrough Secret.

*FIND YOUR MARKET; THERE IS A MARKET FOR EVERY IDEA, PRODUCT OR SERVICE*

I always think about the parable of the sower and the seed that fell on the good ground bringing in a 100 food return.

I have made investments that gave me a thirty fold and even sixty fold returns but few have given me a 100 fold. Out of curiosity I have studied carefully those few investments that gave me a 100 fold and have come to discover a recurring character.
The seed in the parable prospered because it fell on the good soil. Those investments I made also did well for locational reasons especially the right markets.

Take for instance a product as common as popcorn. N100 worth of popcorn can be sold for as much as N1000 in movie theatres.
There is this external romance between the popcorn and the theatre. It's just the perfect soil for that seed.

The greatest gift of an entrepreneur is the capacity to discover potential markets for his products. There is a market for every product. Find it and money will look for you.

There is someone, somewhere desperately dependent on your gift, idea or product for survival. If you discover this person or people you will resolve the mystery of your finances.
"And others fell into the good ground and yielded fruit, growing up and increasing and brought forth thirty fold, sixty fold and a hundred fold". Mark 4:8.

*WHAT YOU SHOULD DO*

1) Pray for Inspiration because Inspiration comes from God!

2) Set a target with a specific date or timeline.

3) Break your processes down into step-by-step guide that will help you achieve sub-targets daily, monthly and annually until it coincides with your target.

4) Take action today because your future is here with you today and right now.

MUST READ!!! Buhari seeks NASS Approval for $30bn BORROW, and N181bn virement in 2016 budget

Different Shades of Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari has sought the approval of National Assembly, for external borrowing plan of $29.960billion for execution of key infrastructural projects across the country between 2016 and 2018 and virement of N180.8 billion in the 2016 budget for provision of needed votes for some sectors.

The president made the requests in two separate letters to both the Senate President, Bukola Saraki and Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon Yakubu Dogara which were read on the floor of both chambers yesterdays.

President Buhari in the external borrowing plan explained that targeted projects cuts across all sectors with special emphasis on infrastructure , Agriculture, Health, Education , Water supply , Growth and employment generation , poverty reduction through social safety net programmes and governance and financial management reforms etc.

According to him,” the total cost of the projects and programmes under the borrowing (rolling) plan is $29.960billion made up of proposed projects and programmes loan of $11.274billion, Special National Infrastructure projects $10.686billion, Euro bonds of $4.5 billion and Federal Government budget support of $3.5billion “.
He explained further that the loan was very necessary in view of the serious infrastructural deficit, the nation is facing.

‘Considering the huge infrastructure deficit currently being experienced in the country and the enormous financial resources required to fill the gap in the face of dwindling resources and the inability of our annual budgetary provisions to bridge the deficit, it has become necessary to resort to prudent external borrowing to bridge the financing gap, which will largely be applied to key infrastructure projects namely Power, Railway and roads projects among others”, he added.
Buhari in the virement request, said the N180 billion would be moved from monies already appropriated for special Intervention programmes both recurrent and capital for funding of critical recurrent and capital items.

He said the request arose due to a number of reasons including: shortfalls in provisions for personnel costs; inadequate provision abinitio for some items like the amnesty programme; Continuing requirements to sustain the war against insurgency; and depreciation of the Naira.
The letter reads in part: “In the course of implementing the 2016 Appropriation Act, several MDAs have presented issues pertaining to salary shortfalls, the settlement of part of which has led to the depletion of the Public Service Wage Adjustment (PSWA). This Vote, which had a provision of N33, 597,400,000, now has a balance of N2, 758,296,000.

“The Committee on Salary Shortfalls, set up by the Honourable Minister of Finance, has come up with a figure of N41, 875,983,020 as the amount required settling salary shortfalls of non-lPPlS MDAs. Similarly, most of the lPPlS MDAs have already been notified by the Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation (OAGF) that they would soon be locked out of the IPPIS Platform as their Personnel Cost budgets would not cover salaries for the rest of the year.
“The lPPlS Department in the OAGF has forwarded a figure of N20, 058,204,856 as the sum required to cover the shortfall in salaries of lPPlS MDAs. The Security-related lines in the Service Wide Vote, specifically Operations internal for the Armed Forces (N13billion) and Operation Lafiya Dole (N8billion) have all been totally released while the Nigerian Air Force needs about (N12,708,367,476) to cover the foreign exchange differentials in the procurement of its critical capabilities.

“The Contingency Vote of N12billion has a balance of only N1, 827,570,443. It is considered necessary to augment this vote in the light of frequently emerging contingencies.
“Only N20, 000,000,000 (already fully released) was provided in the 2016 budget for the Niger Delta Amnesty Programme. Consequently, the allowances to ex-militants have only been paid up to May 2016. This is creating a lot of restiveness and compounding the security challenge in the Niger Delta.
“The Provision for NYSC in the 2016 budget is inadequate to cater for the number of corpers to be mobilized this year. In fact, an additional N8.5billion is required to cover the backlog of 129, 469 corps members who are currently due for call-up but would otherwise be left out till next year due to funding constraints. Similarly, the provision for meal subsidy for the Unity Colleges is inadequate for the number of students in the schools.

“Also, there was no provision for feeding of cadets at the Police Academy, Wudil, Kano. These situations are hampering the operations of the affected agencies. The provision for Statutory Transfer to the Public Complaints Commission (PCC) was reduced to N2, 000,000,000 in 2016 from N4, 000,000,000 in 2015. Consequently, the agency is experiencing difficulty in paying salaries of its personnel as and when due.

“Due to the devaluation of the Naira, the budgetary provisions for the foreign missions are nolonger sufficient to cover all their costs.
“The provision for Presidential Initiative for the North East (N12, 000,000,000) has a balance of less than N1.5bn, and there continue to be emerging challenges with the Internally Displaced Persons (lDPs) in the zone”.

The breakdown of the virement proposal shows that N71.8 billion is for public service wage adjustment, N35billion for Amnesty programme, N19.8billion for mobilization of remaining batches of Youth corps members for the year etc

Culled from:
https://breaking.com.ng/nigeria/buhari-seeks-nass-approval-for-30bn-loan-n180bn-virement-in-2016-budget/

On the above subject, my very good friend has this to say;
If you ever abused Jonathan for going to NASS to borrow $1Bn but are quiet now that Buhari wants to borrow x30 what Jonathan requested for, you need to go to whatever god you serve so that those gods would take you as sacrifice. *You don't deserve to dwell amongst men.

Someone responded to my friends saying thus: Jonathan was selling crude 12O dollars per barrel and was shipping 2.5 barrel a day so no need to borrow more money, do we have exactly the same situation today in Nigeria??
Another responded thus: Revenue accruing from hike in petroleum prices and new "illigal" stamp duty charges alone far compensates for high oil price during GEJ's era.
Another simple logic, if oil price was $150/barrel during GEJ's time and over $50/barrel today, why is Buhari not asking for $3billion?

Well I think We must learn to think through this Govt's intentions. They are here to destroy our future - it is an elitist Govt. QED....

What says YOU???

A MUST READ: Reaction(s) the KEY to avoid Clear; Present & Future Danger!

Attitude Diagram

I believe we must all have heard the famous saying, “life is 10% of what happens and 90% of how you react to it.” In life, attitude is everything; it is what shapes our beliefs and our desires. Harsh times will occur throughout our lives, but it is up to us how we interpret them. We are always in control of our emotions despite any given situation.
Many people blame their circumstances for their shortcomings and as a result accept the harsh reality of their situation. These people believe an event is equivalent to its outcome; however, for the truly remarkable person, adversity is where they thrive.

What allows these people to succeed? They realize it is not what has happened to them in their lives, but the manner in which they react to these events. The way a person decides to respond to certain occurrences is what will shape his or her feelings, actions and results. It all lies within ourselves to be successful in life or not.
We can choose to live the life we want, no matter how tough it can get. It is all a matter of mentality, “only I (you) can prevent Myself (yourself) from achieving greatness”. The rest are just small detours before we reach our destinations.

“I am responsible. Although I may not be able to prevent the worst from happening, I am responsible for my attitude toward the inevitable misfortunes that darken life. Bad things do happen; how I respond to them defines my character and the quality of my life. I can choose to sit in perpetual sadness, immobilized by the gravity of my loss, or I can choose to rise from the pain and treasure the most precious gift I have – life itself.” -Walter Anderson
Note, ‘Adversity is something that everyone faces at some point in his or her life’. These difficult and trying times however are not what define us, but the way in which we react to them is what reveals our true character. Anyone can be defeated when life does not go as planned, but the strong survivors are the people who can overcome such hardships.
Knowledge comes from everything we do and everything that happens to us. We learn valuable lessons over the course of time based on our experiences and the ways in which we react to them. Every hardship presents an opportunity, we just need to recognize that instead of letting it defeat us. Your thoughts and attitude change your experiences and shape your life.
You have a choice when it comes to reactions and although in the moment, you want to get angry, you need to actively remind yourself why that is so detrimental.
The only environment we have control of is our internal one, so the way we interpret situations is the only control we have over them. Each day we are presented with a variety of situations and it is up to us on the way we react. Too many times we rush into decisions during difficult times, only to regret them later on. In that moment, our responses are clouded and our judgment is askew.
Logic is thrown out the window while we let our emotions take control. We don't think things through because when tough times occur, we become ‘angry’ and ‘frustrated’. These are two overpowering emotions that do not allow our intelligence to reach the forefront of our minds.
The truth is that the way in which we react to everything that happens around us determines the quality of our lives. There are things in the world we can control and things that we cannot. First and foremost it is essential to accept the fact that not everything is in our control. Only then can you realize the impact your attitude has on your experiences. As soon as this is realized, you will start feel a greater sense of control in your life.
We always have a choice of how we are going to respond to what the world offers us. We should not let something/someone dictate the way we react to things. We need to look within ourself and realize that we have the power to make things happen. We are a sum of all of our life's experiences, so use these past lessons to help better our present situation.
“The real things haven't changed. It is still best to be honest and truthful; to make the most of what we have; to be happy with simple pleasures; and have courage when things go wrong.”

That's why pastor and educator Charles R. Swindoll postulates that; “The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts”.

It is more important than the past, the education, the money, than circumstances, than failure, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company...a church...a home.

The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day.

“We cannot change our past...we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude”.

I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it.

And so it is with you. We are in charge of our attitudes.

Can you pause for a moment and ask yourself a very ‘important’ question? How do I react to ‘things’?

This is the best reaction to things/situations we do not have control over?

A MUST READ: Failing Is Not The End!

We must learn to fail intelligently.
"Once U've failed, analyze the problem and find out why, because each failure is one more step leading up to the Cathedral of Success. The only time you don't want to fail is the last time you try."

Here are three suggestions for turning failure into success:

1. Honestly face defeat; never fake success.

2. Exploit the failure; don't waste it. Learn all you can from it; every bitter experience can teach us something.

3. Never use failure as an excuse for not trying again.
You may not be able to reclaim the loss, undo the damage, or reverse the consequences, but you can make a new start--wiser, more sensitive, renewed by the Holy Spirit, and more determined to do right.

Philippians 3:13-14 "forgetting the things that are behind I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus".
Remember failure is not final and success is not ending.

Join Me, Let's Do It Better!

Happy New Beginning!!!

A MUST READ; TODAY’s NUGGET...

Comparison Is Never Proof of Anything!!

“Every man must do two things alone” said Martin Luther.
“HE MUST DO HIS OWN LIVING AND HIS OWN DYING.”

When you compare yourself with others, you will become bitter or vain because there will always be people who are better or worse than you.
Making comparisons is a sure path to frustration. You can’t clear your own fields while counting the rocks on your neighbour’s farm.

The grass may be greener on the other side of the fence but there is probably more to mow. Hills look small and green a long way off.
Success is simply a matter of doing what you do best and not worrying what the other person is going to do. You carry success or failure within yourself. It does not depend on outside conditions.
Be singularly motivated as regards what you really want to do, not being mass motivated.

A MUST READ: The Many Lies of Buhari's Autobiography!

JOHN PADEN'S BOOK ON PRESIDENT MUHAMMADU BUHARI AND HIS DIRTY LITTLE LIES

Professor John Paden, President Muhammadu Buhari's official biographer, is a man that is very comfortable with distorting the truth and telling lies. He is also a man that has been doing so for virtually all his adult life.

Anyone that doubts that should read his biography on the late Sir Ahmadu Bello, which was written in 1986 and titled "Ahmadu Bello, Saurdana of Sokoto: Values and Leadership In Nigeria", and which is essentially a self-serving and comprehensive compilation of Bello's numerous virtues with little or no mention of his many vices.

I read that book twenty years ago and I placed it in the "light enterainment" shelf in my library because it lacked gravitas or any real intellectual stamina.

It was, at best, a beautiful public relations job for Bello and, at worse, a compilation of disjointed verbiage fit only for the dustbin.

Paden's book on Buhari falls into the same category. It is nothing but an illusion: an extraordinary and fantastic fairy-tale built on a shady foundation of pseudo-intellectual clap-trap and garbage.

To him, President Buhari is infallible. He is, at best, an angel of light and, at worst, a perfect mortal with no warts.

Paden's latest contribution is the greatest exercise in dishonesty and historical revisionism that has ever been undertaken by any foreign or Nigerian historian since independence.

The only one that comes close to it in this respect is the book that he wrote on the Saurdana and a number of other books that he authored over the years which were primarily about core northern Nigeria. Writing rubbish seems to be Paden's stock in trade.

In his latest book, amongst many other glaring and shameless mendacities, he indulged in two particular lies that are an eloquent testimony to his perfidy.

The first was that three names were sent to President Muhammadu Buhari for the position of Vice President, namely Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Yemi Osibanjo and Babatunde Raji Fashola in 2014 for the 2015 presidential election.

This is false and it is simply an attempt to demean and belittle Tinubu and the role that he played in the whole exercise.

The truth is that it was Tinubu and Tinubu alone that forwarded the only name that was given serious consideration for the Vice Presidential slot by President Buhari. That name was Professor Yemi Osibanjo.

Senator Olorunimbe Mamora was also considered by Buhari  but he did not have the backing of Tinubu and neither did Tinubu forward his name.

The idea that Tinubu's name was forwarded to be Vice President alongside that of his two protegees in the persons of Osinbajo and Fashola is nothing but fantasy and it was a beautiful and tasteful dish and tale that was spiced, cooked up and prepared in the kitchens of Aso Rock.

Again Tinubu never pressured Buhari to make him his Vice President as Paden has asserted because he had decided to drop that ambition long before then simply because the idea of a Muslim/Muslim ticket, which was originally on the cards, had eventually been jettisoned and  rejected by the party due to public presssure and the division and outrage it attracted.

If the Muslim/Muslim ticket had not been rejected Tinubu would have been the Vice Presidential candidate of the APC and no-one else, including his erstwhile protegee Babatunde Fashola, would have had a hope in hell of getting it.

This is especially so given the fact that Buhari had originally promised him that position at the time that their parties merged and the APC was established but he later reneged. That is the bitter truth.

Paden was either misinformed by those who commissioned him to write the book or he was being propelled by an ulterior and malevolent motive for writing the rubbish that he did on the Vice Presidential issue.

Whichever way he was completly wrong and for the sake of history and posterity we must set the record straight.

The second lie that he told, which was infinately  more dangerous and repugnant than the first, was that President Buhari has documents which are signed by President Jonathan which prove that the latter sought for what he described as "extra-budgetary funds".

This is a pernicious lie. It has no basis in rationality, reason or truth. There is absolutely no evidence to substantiate it and I challenge Paten or President Buhari himself to make those letters and signed applications for "extra budgetry funds" public.

The whole thing is simply an attempt to further tarnish and demonise Jonathan and all those that served under him before the world and I believe that that is a crying shame.

I can understand such lies coming from a Presidency or a Federal Government that is scared of its own shadows and that feeds off its own propaganda but I cannot accept them coming from a supposedly reputable historian, albeit a foreigner, who has become the official writer and cheerleader of all things caliphate over the last 30 years.

Amongst many other things he also suggested that other senior figures in the political and military configuration in our country committed serious crimes and indulged in damning acts of corruption without being specific or even providing details of those acts.

Instead of doing so he suggested that the individuals concerned, which included President Olusegun Obasanjo, would have been prosecuted, brought to justice and called to account for their allegedly dastardly acts whilst in governnent if not for the fact that this could have had implications for the stability of the nation and national security.

Obasanjo, who is always quick off the mark and who was actually present at the launching of the book in Abuja as was Tinubu, responded in a measured manner by saying that there were "some insinuations" in it which he disagreed with.

Frankly that was a cop out. Obasanjo was being far too polite and this was probably due to the fact that he had not read the whole book as ay that time and he did not want to dampen the enthuisiasm of the biographer, upset the President or ruin the occassion.

The addage is that you do not go to someone's dinner party and spoil it by confronting his lies, challenging his allegations and speaking the bitter truth.

Yet I believe that though Obasanjo touched on the matter he did not go far enough. I believe that it is incumbent upon all those that were maligned and alleged to have indulged in acts of corruption by Paden to set the record straight and state their case.

It would be very dangerous for all those that have been misrepresented in this so-called book, including President Goodluck Jonathan, President Olusegun Obasanjo and Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to keep quiet and not clarify the issues about what was written or insinuated about them because many years from now that book will be used as a major source and reference point for our history.

I urge all those affected to write their own books quickly otherwise they will become victims of historical revisionism.

If I had been invited by President Muhamnadu Buhari or Professor Paden to the book launch I would have mounted the podium and said as much. Sadly I was not.

Permit me to end this contribution by making a suggestion to Paden. Since he wrote about Jonathan's campaign funds and alleged all manner of corruption concerning their source and application, in his next book on President Buhari I would suggest that he sheds more light on how his subjects own 2015 presidential campaign funds were sourced.

For a start he should tell us who provided the 10 million USD that was paid as consultancy fees to the company of Mr. David Axelrod, President Barack Obama's erstwhile campaign manager.

He should also tell us the source of funds and how Buhari and his team managed the 19 billion naira that was given to him in cash by the then sitting Governor of the leading and largest state in the south west and the 24.6 billion naira that was given to him in cash and in one day (which was recorded on video before being handed over) by another leading south western politician.

In addition to that he should  tell us precisely how much the then Governors of Rivers and Kano states and the present Governors of Ogun and Kwara states amongst many others contributed to Buhari's campaign and where they got the money from.

Since everyone is claiming to be holy and righteous in this matter let us all get there and publicly exchange notes. After all the Nigerian public, and indeed the entire world, has a right to know.

If Paden fails to ask those questions and declines to provide the answers then he, his accursed books and his questionable and dubious "white-washing" mission of President Muhammadu Buhari shall undoubtedly remain damned forever.

Whether he does so or not other governments that will come to power in the future in this country will not only get the necessary answers but they will also do the appropiate thing and bring them to justice. It is only a matter of time.

Supreme Court Upholds Right of Female Child to Inherit Properties in Igboland

FEMALE CHILD HAS RIGHT TO INHERIT FATHER’S PROPERTY IN IGBOLAND – SUPREME COURT

The Supreme Court has voided the Igbo law and custom, which forbid a female from inheriting her late father’s estate, on the grounds that it is discriminatory and conflicts with the provision of the constitution.
The court held that the practice conflicted with section 42(1)(a) and (2) of the 1999 Constitution. The judgment was on the appeal marked: SC.224/2004 filed by Mrs. Lois Chituru Ukeje  (wife of the late Lazarus Ogbonna Ukeje) and their son, Enyinnaya Lazarus Ukeje against Mrs. Cladys Ada Ukeje (the deceased’s daughter).
Cladys had sued the deceased’s wife and son before the Lagos High Court, claiming to be one of the deceased’s children and sought to be included among those to administer their deceased’s father’s estate.
The trial court found that he was a daughter to the deceased and that she was qualified to benefit from the estate of their father who died intestate in Lagos in1981.
The Court of Appeal, Lagos to which Mrs. Lois Ukeje and Enyinnaya Ukeje appealed, upheld the decision of the trail court, prompting them to appeal to the Supreme Court.
In its judgment last Friday, the Supreme Court held that the Court of Appeal, Lagos was right to have voided the Igbo’s native law and custom that disinherit female children.

Justice Bode Rhodes-Vivour, who read the lead judgment, held that “no matter the circumstances of the birth of a female child, such a child is entitled to an inheritance from her later father’s estate.
“Consequently, the Igbo customary law, which disentitles a female child from partaking in the sharing of her deceased father’s estate is breach of Section 42(1) and (2) of the Constitution, a fundamental rights provision guaranteed to every Nigerian.
“The said discriminatory customary law is void as it conflicts with Section 42(1) and (2) of the Constitution. In the light of all that I have been saying, the appeal is dismissed. In the spirit of reconciliation, parties to bear their own costs,” Justice Rhodes-Vivour said.
Justices Walter Samuel Nkanu Onnoghen, Claral Bata Ogunbiyi, Kumai Bayang Aka’ahs and  John Inyang Okoro, who were part of the panel that heard the appeal, agreed with the lead judgment.

BREAKUNG NEWS: FC Ifeanyi Ubah through to Federation Cup Final

FC Ifeanyi Ubah through to federation cup final
FC IfeanyiUbah on wednesday booked a place in 2016 Federation Cup final after a hard fought 2-1 scoreline victory against giants killers Crown FC at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium Kaduna.
The Anambra Warriors' made 6 changes to the side that defeated Enyimba Int'L at  Nnewi last Sunday. Goalkeeper Uche Okafor and Cyril Edum came in for cup-tied Ikechukwu Ezenwa and Ibrahim Akide, Tamen Medrano who missed the last game against Enyimba due to an accumulation of cards got the nod as well as Seka Pascal who missed out due to an injury. Omodu Precious and Ossy Eugene equally made the cut.
The nerve-racking encounter had it first real chance in the 7th minute when Alberico's free kick from 23 yards out went inches over the crossbar after Ossy Eugene was fouled close to the opponent's box. Crown FC, however was the team who took the lead in the 16th minute after Peter Michael finished off with a shot inside the area after the good works of Gbemi Emmanuel and Ademola Ayoola exchanges close to the Anambra Warriors' box.
FC IfeanyiUbah restored parity via Elu Wilson's screamer from 30 yards out after a quick counter-attacking move. Just before the break Omodu Precious who struggled with a knock sustained earlier on made way for Bright Onyedikachi in the 41st minute of the game.
The second half commenced with the Anambra Warriors effecting another change nine minutes into the half as lethargic Ossy Eugene departed for Okereke Maduabuchi. In the 61st minute, Substitute Okereke read a back pass from Ekene Obi to Lasisi Saheed who controlled the ball but was unaware of the Warriors' attacker's closeness. His mistimed clearance resulted in a kick on the shin of Okereke who went down in pains with the referee signalling for a spot kick. Tamen Medrano was on hand to dispatch to give FC IfeanyiUbah the well-deserved lead.
The Warriors' had plethora of chances to kill off the game but were guilty of poor finishing and ill luck as Okereke and Seka Pascal missed a host of chances.
The game took a dramatic turn in the 87th minute as Crown FC Officials attacked the referee for disallowing a goal that was rightly chalked off for an infringement on an FC Ifeanyi Ubah player. This was followed by invasion of the pitch by irate fans of Crown FC who resolved to disrupt the match. The invasion resulted in the game being brought to an end as Crown FC players walked out of the field of play after the melodrama thereby leaving the referee with no choice but to call time on the game.
Reacting to the result, Coach Rafael Everton said he is delighted with the win from the pulsating encounter.
''I thank God for giving us this win today, now we have secured our passage to the finals of the Federation cup, we will now  shift our focus to the last game of the league season against MFM which should give us a continental ticket if we win. Its being a remarkable season not only based on the way we played but having to see an Anambra Clup in the finals of the Federation Cup, kudos to my players, technical team and the management. I wish to also thank our fans for their prayers and support so far,'' Everton Said.
Re-echoing the Coach's sentiment, Skipper Wilson Elu said the win is a clear indication that they play as a unit, hear him; ('I'm very delighted that we have got a well-deserved win today which follows the win against Enyimba FC, we will get to Lagos and by the grace of God, we will get all the 3 points against MFM. We have just two matches left and all I can say is that we will put in our best to ensure we emerge victorious. I call on the fans to put us in their prayers and also give us the needed support in the remaining two matches left for this season and we promise that we won't disappoint them,'' Elu posited.)
Reacting also Vice Chairman of Anambra FA, Barr. J.B.C Obikwelu said the win couldn't have come at a better time as the Anambra Warriors set out with a mission to make history.
''First, I commend the opponents Crown FC for their exploits today. Recall that Crown FC eliminated Rangers and Wikki Tourists earlier before this so the game against them was no doubt going to be tough. However, FC IfeanyiUbah have defined as well as redefined football in a very big way in the state, thanks to the Chairman of Anambra FA and Proprietor of the club Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah for making this project a reality. We hope for a win against MFM on Sunday to seal a continental place which will put FC IfeanyiUbah on the map of Africa. Anambra is where football lives and football is surely made in Anambra,'' said Barr. Obikwelu.
Team Manager, Chidi Nwogu said the win today was as a result of hardwork, commitment and staying focused. He urged the players to finish off the season in style by winning the remaining two matches left of the season.
In the word of defender Adeleye Olamilekan, he said the win is dedicated to the fans for their immense support so far. He, however, promised that they will get the win in their remaining two matches left of the season.
FC IfeanyiUbah will now await in the finals the winner of the Enyimba vs Nasarawa Utd clash holding on the 9th of October, 2016.

A MUST READ; How To Get Rid Of Painful Athlete's Foot, NATURALLY!

Health Tips !!

How To Get Rid Of Your Painful Athlete's Foot ("Ngbawa Ukwu" in IGBO)– Home Remedies That Work 100% !!

Athlete’s foot is a fungal infection that usually thrives in warm, damp places. It appears between the toes, on top of the feet, on toenails and between the fingers. White patches, scaly patches, and redness are all indicative of the fungus.
Symptoms of athlete’s foot are: itching, burning, and stinging.

Athletes foot fungus frequents public showers and locker rooms, indoor swimming pools and health clubs, and it is very contagious. Contact with shoes or socks containing the fungus, wet floors, or exercise equipment (remember it can live between fingers too) can spread it.

The good thing is that you can deter athlete’s foot fungus from taking hold by wearing flip-flops around public pools or showers and ensuring that your feet, including between your toes, are thoroughly dried after bathing or swimming. You should keep your toenails the shortest length that is comfortable for you, since the fungus can live under toenails. Toenails that are left long might retain moisture and provide a haven for the fungus. You shouldn’t leave sweaty socks or shoes on any longer than you have to.

And, don’t forget – if your feet tend to sweat a lot during the day, or if you are particularly active, take a fresh pair of organic cotton socks with you and change them partway through the day (cotton is more absorbent than synthetic materials and better for your feet), and don’t wear the same shoes the following day – give them time to completely dry and air out. And now, we’re going to show you how to get rid of Athlete’s foot – in all natural way:

How To Get Rid Of Your Painful Athlete’s Foot:

1. Garlic:

Garlic is a vegetable known for its antifungal and antibacterial properties, meaning that it is highly efficient when it comes to destroying the bacteria that cause this infection as well.

Take five pods of garlic, then peel them and crush them. Apply the garlic directly onto the infected region.Take sterilized gauze or a duct tape and use it to secure the garlic. Leave it for a few of hours. Remove the applied garlic, and then, 20 minutes later, repeat the treatment. Do this thrice a day for a period of one month. Go on using this treatment for 15 more days and once you finish the treatment, the infection will be completely gone.

2. Cinnamon:

This super healthy ingredient has powerful antifungal and antiperspirant properties. It is not only helpful when it comes to eliminating the infection! Here’s what you need to do:

First, you should take 10 cinnamon sticks and break them into tiny pieces. Then, you need to add them to four cups of boiling water. Let it simmer for 5 minutes on low temperature. Next, let it steep for 45 minutes. Soak your feet in this solution for about 30 minutes.

Repeat this procedure every evening before you go to bed for one to two months.

3. Baking Soda:

Baking soda is an ingredient highly efficient against moisture in the feet. It also neutralizes the skin’s pH level and thus controls fungal activities.

Combine 3 parts baking soda with 1 part cold water and make a thick paste.Using circular movement, apply this paste to your feet, covering all feet areas (between toes as well). In the end, let it dry for several minutes.

Wash your feet with cool water and pat them dry.

4. Green/Black Tea:

The tannic acid found in tea is a natural astringent that helps control fungal activity and it also helps in keeping the feet free of excess moisture.

Take five bags of green/black tea and soak them in four cups of boiling water for five minutes. Let the water cool.Soak your feet into the tea for half an hour. In the end, dry your feet thoroughly.

Repeat the procedure twice a day for five to six weeks.

A MUST READ: HOW TO SURVIVE A HEART ATTACK WHEN YOU ARE ALONE??

HOW TO SURVIVE A HEART ATTACK WHEN YOU ARE ALONE??

If you were to suffer a heart attack while in the company of people, calling out for help is probably the first instinctive thing you’d do. But what if a heart attack happened when you’re alone, would you likely survive it?

The answer may surprise you.

Since many people are alone when they suffer a heart attack, without help, the person whose heart is beating improperly and who begins to feel faint, has only about 10 seconds left before losing consciousness.

However, these victims can help themselves by coughing repeatedly and very vigorously. A deep breath should be taken before each cough, and the cough must be deep and prolonged, as when producing sputum from deep inside the chest.

A breath and a cough must be repeated about every two seconds without let-up until help arrives, or until the heart is felt to be beating normally again.

Deep breaths get oxygen into the lungs and coughing movements squeeze the heart and keep the blood circulating. The squeezing pressure on the heart also helps it regain normal rhythm. In this way, heart attack victims can get to a hospital. Tell as many other people as possible about this. It could save their lives!!

EXPLAINED!!!

Recognising symptoms of a heart attack
To know if you’re suffering from a heart attack, you first need to be able to identify its symptoms. Classical symptoms of a heart attack include:
Severe chest pain (like squeezing, or a heaviness, or pressing) at the central or left part of the chest, lasting usually for at least 20 min. The pain may also radiate to the left upper arm, neck or jaw.

Profuse sweating and a feeling of impending doom.
“About 90 per cent of heart attack sufferers experience the classical symptoms. However, the elderly, females and those suffering from diabetes may develop non-classical heart attack symptoms. These include shortness of breath, mild chest pain, nausea, vomiting and pain in the epigastric region (upper central portion of the abdomen),” says Dr Chin Chee Tang, Senior Consultant, Department of Cardiology, National Heart Centre Singapore (NHCS), a member of the SingHealth group.

What to do when a heart attack occurs?
Should you experience a heart attack – regardless of whether you’re alone or in the presence of others – the very first thing to do is to call for emergency medical help. You need specialised treatment to be delivered to you as quickly as possible in order to save your heart muscle.
“Should you be alone when a heart attack occurs, stop whatever you’re doing, proceed to a safe place to rest and call for medical help. For example, if you’re driving, first pull to the side of the road and call for aid,” advises Dr Chin.

What you could do while waiting for medical help to arrive
Large studies have also shown that taking an aspirin – the most commonly taken blood thinning medication in the world – during a heart attack improves survival.
Most cases of heart attack are caused by a blood clot forming in one of the blood vessels responsible for supplying blood to the heart. The resulting blockage deprives the heart of oxygen-rich blood, causing damage to the heart muscle, which progressively dies. Taking an aspirin during a heart attack may help as it prevents the clot from getting bigger, giving the body a chance to break down the blood clot.
If you have aspirin at home, and you know that you are not allergic to it, then you could consider taking it while waiting for the emergency medical services to arrive.

What does NOT improve survival during a heart attack
Could taking nitroglycerin – a prescribed medication that temporarily widens blood vessels to improve blood supply to the heart – also help?
Dr Chin says, “Nitroglycerin has not been shown to prevent heart attacks or improve survival substantially during an attack. It is more useful for patients with angina, an altogether different condition where patients experience chest pain or discomfort when exerting themselves.”
Angina results from an imbalance in the supply and demand for blood to the heart, but it is due to a narrowed blood vessel and not to a clot that needs to be broken down. Taking nitroglycerin during such a situation may temporarily expand the narrowed blood vessel and relieve discomfort.

Coughing repeatedly, also unlikely to help in case of a heart attack
As for self-administered “treatments” such as coughing repeatedly or applying pressure on the chest area during a heart attack, Dr Chin cautions that these are probably just urban legends.
He explains, “In rare cases where the heart beat is very slow from an abnormal reflex mechanism, coughing may help restore normal heart rhythm – but this is not what happens in a heart attack.”
Similarly, applying pressure on the chest area during a heart attack is unlikely to help unless the person’s heart has stopped beating (also known as a cardiac arrest). When this happens, CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) should be adminis

BREAKING NEWS; BLACKBERRY stops Making Phone!

Breaking News!!!!!

•Blackberry finally bows out of the phone market!

Producers of Blackberry phones have technically bowed to the superiority of other phone companies across the world which has sidelined it in the technology market.

The former smartphone giant Blackberry has said it will no longer manufacture its own devices. Instead it intends to outsource hardware making to development partners, although the core focus of its business is firmly on software services at this point.

After 14 years in the mobile phone business, embattled phone maker, Blackberry has announced that it is no longer going to design its own smartphones.

The company, which is famed for its "Qwerty" keyboard mobile phones that were the choice handset for professionals, has been struggling to keep up with market leaders Apple and Samsung as the world has moved to touchscreens.

As a result, the loss-making business said it is going to focus on creating software for mobile phones, rather than the devices themselves.

MUST READ; TODAY'S NUGGET

*TODAY'S NUGGET*

*IF YOU ARE ONLY LOOKING OUT FOR YOURSELF, LOOK OUT*

Is your favourite letter "l"? Listen: The cause of most of our problems is "I", no matter how we spell it. Change your favourite word from "I"  to "You".

The Truth is, no one makes it on their own. There is nothing quite dead as a self centred man - a man who holds himself up as a self-made success, and measures himself by himself and is pleased with the result.

The man who lives for himself is a failure. Conceit makes us fools. The book of proverbs remind us, "Do you see a man wise in his own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for him."

*The best way to be happy is to forget yourself and focus on other people*.
The bigger a man's head gets, the easier it is to fill his shoes.

*The only reason pride lifts you up is to let you down*. A swelled head always proves there is plenty of room for improvement. Even postage stamps become useless when the get stuck on themselves.

Egotism is the only disease where the patient feels well while making everyone else around him feel sick. It blossoms but bears no fruit.
Those who sing their own praises seldom receive an encore.

Try to cultivate the habit of thinking of others; this will reward you. Work together with others. Remember the banana: every time it leaves the bunch, it gets peeled and eaten.

Heavy burdens are made lighter when everyone lifts.
Selfishness always bring its own revenge.

It's OK for everyone, anyone, even you to claim to have a dream. After all Martin Luther King did.

Well, just be careful to know whether it was a result of night rest. This is because anyone who is possessed by a true dream, we mean men who actually transformed their generation will tell you thus:

*I've got a dream that's worth more than my sleep.*

I just wish that dream of yours keeps you awake at night, it will awaken your passions and turn those dreams into goals backed with action.
